RETURN & REFUND POLICY
NOT QUITE RIGHT? WE’VE GOT YOU.
At Checkers & Thread, we want you to love what you ordered.
If something is not quite right, contact us within 15 days of your original purchase date.
Eligible refunds and size replacements must be requested within this 15-day period.
A replacement item does not restart or extend the original 15-day period.
T-SHIRTS
NEED A DIFFERENT SIZE?
If your T-shirt does not fit, contact us within 15 days and let us know the size you need.
For approved size replacements, we may send you a replacement T-shirt without requiring the original shirt to be returned.
Replacement sizes are subject to availability.
If no return is required, we encourage you to donate the original tee or pass it along to someone who can enjoy it.
CHANGED YOUR MIND?
If you are not happy with your T-shirt, contact us within 15 days.
Once your request has been reviewed and approved, we may issue a refund to your original payment method.
For eligible T-shirt refunds, we may not require you to return the original item.
KIMONOS
Our kimonos follow the same 15-day return and refund policy, with a few additional requirements because they are handmade.
NEED A DIFFERENT SIZE OR STYLE?
Contact us within 15 days of your original purchase.
If an exchange or replacement is available, we will let you know your options.
Kimonos are handmade and may be limited in quantity, so replacement availability cannot be guaranteed.
CHANGED YOUR MIND?
Eligible kimonos may be returned within 15 days.
To qualify, the kimono must be:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- Unused
- In its original condition
- Free from stains, makeup, perfume, deodorant, odors, pet hair, or signs of wear
- Returned with all original tags, labels, and adhesive stickers attached and fully intact
Please do not remove any tags, labels, or adhesive stickers until you are sure you want to keep the kimono.
If any original tag, label, seal, or adhesive sticker has been removed, damaged, altered, repositioned, or is missing, the kimono may not qualify for a return.
Because our kimonos are handmade, slight differences in pattern placement, stitching, texture, measurements, or finish are natural and are not necessarily considered defects.
DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If your T-shirt or kimono arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.
Send us:
- Your order number
- A short description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item
- Photos of the packaging when applicable
We will review the issue and work with you toward the appropriate solution.
Depending on the situation, this may include a replacement, refund, or another appropriate resolution.
FINAL SALE
Items clearly marked Final Sale are not eligible for refunds, returns, or size replacements except where required by law or when an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.

- The item involved
- Whether you need a refund, replacement, or different size
- The size you need, if applicable
- Photos if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect
REFUNDS
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow additional time for your bank, credit card company, or payment provider to process the refund.
Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by Checkers & Thread or otherwise required by law.
A QUICK NOTE
We reserve the right to refuse refunds or replacements in cases involving suspected fraud, false claims, or repeated abuse of this policy, subject to applicable law.
